A Legacy of Excellent Care
For more than 75 years, our practice has delivered family- and community-centered dental care to Grand Rapids residents. Opening in 1950, Dr. Robert O’Brien, a second-generation dentist, captured the hearts of his patients through his caring attitude and joyful humor. Over the years, patients have enjoyed the addition of more O’Brien dentists, including Dr. Robert’s sons, Dr. Jon and Dr. Patrick, in 1977, and eventually Dr. Dan in 2013.
O’Brien and Ellison DDS would not be the practice it is today without the tireless dedication and commitment of those who came before:
- Robert O’Brien – Retired in 1994 and passed away in 2019
- Jon O’Brien – Retired in 2018
- Patrick O’Brien – Passed away in 2009
