About Our Dental Office in Grand Rapids
Why Our Patients Keep Coming Back
At O’Brien & Ellison DDS, we strive to build relationships with our patients that last a lifetime. In fact, many of our patients have been seeing us for decades, and some families have been coming to our practice for generations! With over 75 years of service to the Grand Rapids community, our patients have always resonated with and appreciated our core value and personalized approach to care. These are just a few of the ways our patients describe us:
Honest

Honesty is very important to us and our patients, and we practice it every day. We aren’t motivated by selling treatments that our patients may or may not need. Instead, we take a conservative approach, focusing on educating patients and providing minimally invasive dentistry.
Trusted

Our practice was originally opened by Dr. Robert O’Brien in 1950, and since then, it has remained family owned and operated. Many of our team members have started their careers with us and retired from our office, and they continue to stop in for a quick cleaning and to catch up! We have remained the trusted dental office of generations of Grand Rapids families. We’re committed to carrying on our legacy of providing relationship-based, compassionate, and comfortable dentistry.
Comprehensive

Dr. Dan and Dr. Matt are both graduates of the renowned University of Michigan School of Dentistry. They have completed extensive training, like an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency, and remain committed to staying up to date with the latest techniques and technology in their field. As such, they are able to offer truly comprehensive dental care, including services from routine cleanings to more complex care like dental implants and root canal treatment.
Judgment-Free

We don’t do high-pressure. Our team is laid-back and welcoming, and we ensure that you never feel judged or pressured into treatment. We often see patients who haven’t visited the dental office in years due to bad past experiences, anxiety, or fear. We make sure to take our time and truly listen. We want you to have a positive experience, which is why we’re happy to help you make small, easy steps towards bettering your oral health.
